AMARYLLIS

Amaryllis is a holiday favorite, thanks to its tendency to bloom in December.  The big, dramatic trumpet-shaped flowers are hard to miss. When you plant an amaryllis from a bulb, it sprouts quickly and produces bold, beautiful blooms. Amaryllis is probably one of the easiest plants to grow.  This talk will cover:

• choosing healthy bulbs
• planting techniques
• what types of containers to use
• how to keep amaryllis blooming from year to year so that you can build a collection.
