Join us for a presentation from Milena McWatt from Wild Calm Forest Therapy on nature therapy and the benefits of nature as well as gardening for both mind and body.
Milena is a certified guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. The seed of and name of Wild Calm was planted in 2018 when she was spending a lot of time alone in the woods with her dog. She instinctually retreated into the forest as she was struggling through a severe bout of depression. And it really helped. She looked around online to see if there was something to it. She stumbled upon the ANFT site and realized that forest therapy IS A THING and it would be a calling she could answer. Sharing the health benefits the forest can provide with others is something she is so grateful to be able to do.
