Speaker Series Opportunities

Edmonton Horticultural Society Speaker Nights are a great opportunity to connect with enthusiastic and engaged local gardeners.

We are now inviting applications for our upcoming Speaker Series, and we’re looking for passionate voices to share knowledge, inspire others, and strengthen our gardening community. Whether you’re an experienced professional, a dedicated hobby gardener, or a local vendor wanting to showcase your offerings, we’d love to hear from you.

Our feature presentations run 60 to 90 minutes and cover a wide range of horticulture-related topics, including:

• Home gardening and plant care
• Food gardening and urban agriculture
• Landscape design
• Ecological and sustainable practices
• Local research, innovation, and industry insights

We provide honorariums for all main presenters.  For out-of-town speakers, travel expenses are also covered to help ensure your participation is comfortable and accessible.

If you have a topic you’re passionate about and experience you’d like to share, we encourage you to apply.

This year we’re excited to introduce short 5-minute highlight stories at the start of each event.
We’re seeking local gardeners who would like to briefly share:

• A personal gardening success
• Lessons learned
• A unique project
• Creative approaches to gardening in the Edmonton region
• No professional experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to inspire others!
• Opportunity to answer questions from the membership.

Are you a local business or artisan offering gardening-related products or services?
Vendors are now welcome to display or sell merchandise before and after our presentations. This is an excellent opportunity to:

• Connect with local gardeners
• Promote your brand
• Showcase new or seasonal products
• Build relationships within the gardening community

We can provide space and event details and help you get set up on the night.
