Once the leaf/leaves are firmly in place, check to be sure you still have a shallow bowl-shape.* I found that by gently lifting the plastic at the edges of the mold and pushing more dirt in around the concrete edges under the plastic, I could shape the bowl more easily than in the early stages. Also make sure your edges are smooth and as even as possible.

Now is the time to add any further decoration around the leaf such as the marbles, decorative tiles or stones, sparkles, etc. You can also scratch in date and initials now if you like. I added marbles in my second attempt, just to try it.

Cover the leaf or leaves with small pebbles or gravel or sand for weight while drying. Cover the whole thing with another piece of plastic sheeting and secure. Shade your project from the sun while drying (two days).
