This started an unexpected and amazing journey learning about birds\, pollinators\, gardening\, native plants and what habitat urban wildlife is looking for. Melissa will talk about how your garden is an important tool in combating habitat loss\, her successes and failures and ultimately what key features and plants a yard needs to be thriving with birds and pollinators. Ninety nine species of birds\, and hundreds of species of beneficial insects have visited her urban Edmonton backyard since she started gardening for wildlife and 80 species of birds have already visited her yard in 2023.
