Anne County \nBring a picnic lunch and spread out under the shade of your favourite tree. Delight your taste buds with hot or cold beverages from Mugshot Coffee’s food truck\, along with Maverick’s Donuts delectable works of art. \nAlberta Open Farm Days is a collaborative\, province-wide\, two-day event that gives Albertans an opportunity to experience the farm and understand where their food comes from. She doesn’t remember when gardening wasn’t part of her life.\n\nShe and her husband\, Dan\, had many adventures\, like growing a tropical cut flower farm on the island of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands\, and then became part owners of the family greenhouse. During their 20+ years there\, Sharon wore many hats\, including perennial production\, seeding\, and marketing and retail strategizing with Dan. \nIn this current phase of her career\, Sharon uses her experiences to mentor professional growers\, home gardeners\, and children. She writes a blog on her website\, which has spilled over into in-school field trips\, group speaking\, workshops\, and encouraging prairie gardeners. She is also a contributing writer for Proven Winners’ blog\, Cold + Bold Canada™ \nSharon can be found on Instagram\, Facebook\, and on her website\, Gardening with Sharon.
